Can anyone help me with how to answer this China political history essay question? I need some ideas, please!

*>Jeanne<* asked:

We are nearing the 50th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) victory in China’s civil war. In spite of some disastrous policies and unpopular political campaigns initiated in the 1950s and 1960s, the CCP still maintains legitimacy and power (if not popularity) today. In the first part of your essay begin by identifying and describing the two most egregious campaigns led by the CCP, and their effects on China’s people. In the second part of your essay describe the political and economic strategies that the CCP has implemented since the Cultural Revolution to retain power. Finally, summarize briefly how the CCP retains legitimacy today (in other words, what fundamental goal is the CCP delivering on for the people of China)?

there was a major problem/issue/neglect/stupidity on the first years if CCP (china as i’m not form US)
in one year they called it farm year ..or so..what it meant was that everyone was to farm and help make a loooot of food..of course in a state u dont need only to make food..
the mistake was the next year when they proclamed the iron year..and everyone got all their iron things from home ..were melt in factories etc…and all ,or almost all was in iron industry..but of course the previous year they hadnt produced the quota they said they produced so famine was all over country…there are the 2 bla bla..hope it helped :D
