I believe that if you spend 10 minutes reading this essay, you will be better informed than if you listen to a lifetime’s worth of Major Media news. This article has two parts:
1. Cultural and general info
2. Political info.
Note: I’ve explained everything.Any answers before reading the whole thing will prove to be wrong.Specially the political part.I’ve provided evidance for whatever I say.It’s just the way it is.

Part 1: Cultural and general info
Hi. I’m a 19 year old Iranian who has spent his life in Iran.I study English.When I chat with people from other countries, I am shocked to see how totally wrong their ideas are about Iran. I wrote this article in an attempt to help correct those ideas.
The first thing America, and the West in general, accuses our government of is that we don’t allow personal freedoms. Actually, Iranians disobey laws they don’t like as much as anyone.There are only a few restrictions.It’s cool over here. People here do whatever they wish to! Many strict rules in other countries don’t even exist in Iran. Also, you should understand that what may seem so normal to you, may be a nightmare for us and vise versa.Some of Iran’s laws are based on OUR culture. You look at our country from “your own point of view”! In Iran every single house has a sattelite dish. Sattelite television has a serious influence on our people, and Iranians wear very fashionable clothing. Maybe it is a kind of imitation, but we still have our own unique Iranian style. A visitor might wonder if this is a country or a fantasy pageant of beauty queens! Almost women wear half their their hair out, and make-up and fashionable clothing are everywhere.I ignore a few fuddy-duddies though! We look at the world in a beautiful way, cos we know what’s it like! Many of you don’t even have a clue what’s life like in other countries! Buy a satllite.It’s worth it! I assure you!

i have no idea about what Iran is. i have never seen anything on TV portraying Iranians in Iran whatsoever. the only thing i have really learned about them is that their leaders are almost as incompetent as some of ours, and Iranians on yahoo.com have some idea that most Americans are informed at all. so many Americans would not be able to tell you that there is a difference between Iran and Iraq. the ones you talk to have to be pretty damn sheltered.
yes, it is the victim of propanganda. but also the victim of it’s own policies regarding support of extremist factions.
there are far worse countries in the world that arent being targeted by U.S. Iran have oil, they get attention. How much jumping up and down did poor old North Korea have to do before U.S had a little chat to them… werent they threatening nuclear power for a long time?
BTW, i dont think U.S Iran could co-operate, they are polar opposites in thinking.

how come you get to rant for like 4 pages and Y!A stops my questions after 2 paragraphs? doesn’t seem very fair. “no gov’t in the worls is a representative for its people”? yeah right pal. whether you want to believe Bush is your president or not means nothing….he represents america until jan 09 just as ahmedinijad represents iran because he was voted in through their dictatorship theocracy. he is the leader of that country, along with the mullahs, therefore he is the face of iran

Until your leader acts like one and forgets his terrorist ties, all of your arguments do not mean a thing. Until I see a statement by your Government that accepts the rights of Israel and a public statement saying they do not support or finance any terrorist activity in the world. , then all of your opinions do not matter. The Iranian people need to realize that their leader is destroying a great country and isolating it against the world. They deserve better and should demand it.
your small book is too long to read. I did read about 1/3 of it and I find you use phrases that are very much slang and I will admit im skeptical that you are an Iranian in Iran.
The biggest negative perspective is your leader thinks the holocaust didnt exist. That is something that is pretty hard to look past.

I’ve been saying that Iran isn’t a threat to anyone. The leadership is just frustrated at being threatened and insulted by CEO Bush with his eyes on Iran’s oil. Also, the Palestinians being pushed onto smaller and smaller slivers of land without anybody speaking up for them is maddening! The difference between Zionists and Nazis is that Zionists don’t use gas to exterminate their civilian victims…..
Good luck trying to convince these fascists that Iranians are human. They’re completely brainwashed. After no WMDs in Iraq, they now believe the lie that Iran has nukes. Hopefully, your govt. understands that Bush WANTS them to build nukes! He and his friends profit from arms races. The best way to get revenge on Bush is to not build nukes.
No. Iran is a real danger to the international peace and to our religion Islam. How many Muslims in the whole world understand Islam”s teachings and meanings as Iran does ? Iran having its own culture does not mean to swim against………
I, as an American, have no problem with the Iranian people but you had better do something with your leaders. Don’t you realize the path they have chosen is going to get you all killed?
